Day Two – The Pair
Only a two day shoot and the team of KILLAWATT is exhausted and wondering where our weekend went. Reflecting back over the last two days, it has been busy and rewarding. The Pair is “in the can”, well…in the computer is more like it. The smaller cast and crew today did an awesome job to get the job done and finish ahead of schedule! How often do you hear of that on a production!!
Big thanks again to all the housemates at the Ghetto Mansion at Oak and 49th. We invaded your home for about four to five hours today. We are hoping that the muffins, doughnuts and coffee made the inconvenience a tad less intrusive on a Sunday morning.
Also KILLAWATT is sending a big shout out to the best outtake of the day to three year old Anna – “Daddy, Juan has Jesus on his balls”. Anna was close that take and then got it right later. To find out the actual line she had to say – you are going to have to stay tuned for details on a screening/film festival/DVD release date for the crass, rude and absolutely funny short film of “The Pair”.
Cheers,
KILLAWATT

Day One – The Pair
Yesterday was the first day for the shooting of KILLAWATT’s next short film, The Pair, writtten and directed by Jereme Watt. It was a very long but great day.
With the help of friends and colleagues who donated or greatly discounted their time and talent, we were able to get what we need. Being that the film is basically one scene and that we are such a small cast and crew, we were able to get everything shot that Jereme wanted.
We have to send a big THANK YOU to Mersad and Kevin – co-owners of The Hennessey, especially to Mersad who only got about five hours sleep and came back to open the bar/restaurant for us at 6:00am, napped in his office for the remainder of the day and let KILLAWATT have the run of the place. The Hennessey is a great bar/restaurant, great food with events every other night of the week. From Sketch comedy night to DJ competitions and with decor that is comfortable and casual, it is a great place to meet up with friends and have a good night out. Please visit the place and say “Hi” to Mersad, Kevin and the rest of The Hennessey crew!
Pictures of the shoot are still to come. In the mean time, follow Jereme on Twitter, you never know what he might say.
Cheers,
KILLAWATT
And ACTION!
As you can imagine, life is busy here at KILLAWATT. We are filming this weekend and the preparation time required for only two days of filming is pretty large, just imagine what the “To Do” list would be if it was more than that!
The project that we are working on is called “The Pair”. I can’t tell you much about the short film right now, except that it is not in the same genre as “Everything’s Coming Up Rosie”. ”The Pair” will showcase the diversity of Jereme Watt’s creativity. So for now, that’s all I can say. Please feel free to guess.
Stay tuned for more details and cross your fingers that post production will be completed sooner than later!
Cheers,
KILLAWATT
P.S. Jereme will start blogging soon…all he needs is more time in the day. Hopefully you can help and make that happen
And the winner is…
This past weekend Jereme Watt’s film “Everything’s Coming Up Rosie” took home the Maple Leaf Award for BEST CANADIAN SHORT at the Canada International Film Festival.
Good thing Executive Producer – Paul Armstrong was able to attend the gala to accept the award on Jereme’s behalf!
Thanks Paul!
Cheers,
KILLAWATT
